Test your implicit bias

A workshop, training, or keynote is even more effective when combined with a Mindbugs test. We developed three different online Mindbugs tests that measure three of the 188 possible biases that we all have. Each of these tests charts your unconscious preferences. It shows how bias influences your behaviour and helps enlarge your self-knowledge.

Three Mindbugs tests

You can choose between three Mindbugs tests. We are happy to assist you in choosing which test is most appropriate for your target group. It takes two times seven minutes to take this online test. By now, more than 15,000 people have done the tests and received their personal reports.

1. Gender & leadership

This test has been developed in collaboration with Philips and is offered since 2012. Over the years, more than 13,500 people from all over the world have taken the test. Follow the example of many organisations by taking the test, after which you and your colleagues get insight into the unconscious preferences concerning gender and leadership. We will compare your team’s outcome to our database’s benchmark and your organisation’s average during our presentation or training.

2. Skin colour & trust

How colour-blind are you when it comes to skin colour? This new test is on offer since 2020 and has already been taken by more than 1,500 people. We have worked hard to test your unconscious biases for trust in dark and light skin colour people. The test gives you insight and helps you become more aware of your unconscious preferences. By making conscious choices, you can more objectively select and measure the performance of all available talent.

3. Name & leadership

How does a name on a resume resonate with you? What associations do you possibly make between name and skills? Do you read all CVs with equal attention, regardless of the first name on them? We have created this test to discover and discuss possible unconscious biases.

Insight

“I really enjoy mind-openers; those moments that your brain suddenly combines different knowledge areas. You suddenly see and feel the connection; I can get euphoric when experiencing this. Sometimes it is about small things, but occasionally these moments can entirely change my outlook on the larger picture.”

Mindbugs

“Mindbugs are subconscious preferences that all people have developed from the day they were born. We all have them, and we have lots of them! Especially what our eyes see (gender, age, skin color, physical disabilities) and what our ears hear (tone of voice, dialect) heavily influences what we think of others without really knowing the person.”

Implicit bias

“In many organisations, people are convinced that they already choose the best leaders. In reality, unconscious bias often plays a pivotal role.”

Mindbugs tests

“94,8% of managers indicate that they find men and women equally competent as leaders. However, the results of our Mindbugs test taken by more than 13,500 of them show differently. Results show that 81% have an unconscious preference for a man as a leader. This applies to both male and female respondents.”
