Esther is the co-founder of the HPO Center (since 2008) that she runs together with André de Waal and Marco Schreurs & colleagues. She is a project manager for HPO diagnoses and a supervisor for HPO teams and results. “With great pleasure; HPO gives my customers and me the support to do difficult things anyway.”

High Performance research and advisory

The illuminating and acclaimed research of Dr André de Waal on how organisations get better and become HPO deserved its own centre. So in 2008, we founded HPO Center to do more research and bridge the gap between science and organisations. By now, the HPO Center is a renowned sparring partner for organisations that want a breakthrough in improving their performance. In the Netherlands and far beyond. André de Waal’s work is known worldwide and is applied in thousands of organisations.

Together with André de Waal and Marco Schreurs, Esther leads HPO Center and is involved in HPO research at many organisations. Based on the scientifically proven HPO philosophy, we constantly look for further improvements and share these insights with teams and organisations. Knowing that our clients may not like all of our findings, we do not hold back. A large part of the proceeds from our consultancy work is reinvested in new research to help bring organisations to their next level. We work with clients from the very beginning and with a growing group of new organisations.

HPO diagnoses

Esther conducts HPO diagnoses for clients and guides the leaders of those organisations in their HPO behaviour. “I find it exciting and very interesting work. I notice that we can really help organisations to collaborate better for a better result. And it is so much more fun to work in an organisation where everything makes sense rather than one that does not learn from its mistakes. I am really proud of our customers who keep improving.
My strength is to search for the priorities for an organisation after the HPO diagnosis has been made. And to include the organisation in setting their priorities to improve and help them organise their actions firmly and with great respect.
